Welcome to Teaching Cli-fi, a resource designed to aid instructors at colleges and universities teaching or planning to teach courses on cli-fi or climate change fiction.
This site began in spring 2015 as the website for the course “Cli-fi: Science Fiction, Climate Change, & Apocalypse,” at Temple University. You can read more about that class here.
Each of the pages below are works-in-progress. Please come back again.
Curating Cli-fi | A list of literary works that could fruitfully be considered “cli-fi”
Secondary Sources | A brief list of thoughtful writing on climate change and literature: some scholarly, most explicitly about cli-fi or cli-fi works.
Cli-fi in the Press | A selection of the best articles, features, and reviews published online about cli-fi.
Cli-fi Teaching Resources | Syllabi, slides, ideas
If you’ve taught a cli-fi course in the past, are currently teaching one, or have feedback or questions of any kind about this site or about cli-fi, please feel free to contact Ted Howell: ted.howell at temple.edu
